Isa (’s-Hertogenbosch, 1998) is a visual artist with a background in photography.

She is fascinated by the irony of time; we race after it, yet sometimes it catches up with us, always unexpectedly. A scent can transport you, in a split second, back to childhood, while waiting in line at the checkout can feel endless, as if nothing wants to move; stillness stretching into infinity. Her practice revolves around the human life cycle. Mourning is inseparably bound to time: how memory slowly transforms into farewell.

Time is as tangible as it is elusive. All-encompassing, and yet nothing at all. And where she goes? God only knows.

Since 2023, she has been affiliated with Ongekend, an art initiative in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where she is involved in organizing and curating exhibitions and art events.
